Well there I was, cleaning the mess left by four teenage boys and their sister, something that they are very very good at , and insist on doing on a regular basis - so to make the time pass quicker, I sang - with the hoover on so no one could complain about my dreadful voice LOL - My Favorite Things from SOM.

However as i cleaned , I started to make the words up, and it went something like this.

Bedrooms are messy

Beds are unmade

Sinks full of dishes

Feel like the maid

Cleaning the bathroom, my head in the loo, this is a list of the things that I do

Cleaning the carpet

The house is a mess

Mowing the lawn

Oh gwad oh the stress

Cleaning the cooker and burning the food, this is some more of the things that i do

Sweeping and cleaning

And mopping the floors

Straightening the curtains

And wiiping down doors

Hanging out washing, all pegged in a line, is there no end in sight to this big list of mine

When the sinks blocked

When the bins full

When I've had enough

I simply take a look at the mess all around - want get in the caaaaaaar ..........and run off to town

Well it certainly helped get it done and I felt better ,sang it loud enough in the hopes that it dropped big enough hints to those who maketh the mess LOL and I thought that given the current theme running at the moment that it would be rather amusing - or maybe its just my odd sense of humor LOL

Sam xx ;)

PS I said "run" off, truth is , originally it was a very very rude word there, it worked better, but wasn't so nice [image]

Sam, this isn't the 'I'm falling off my chair laughing' emoticon but it's the best we have.

Your verse is soo hilarious. They should insert another scene in which Maria cleans the house. It would be such a surprise!

Sam, that's great! That's why I always have the radio on when I do my housework.

I loved it :-* Sam, that was very funny and very clever. Sometimes I wonder what the percentage of our life is spent doing housework, whether it's inside or outside...to me it seems like it's all I ever do. :-/

I know what you mean Nancy - LOL it is never ending. Took a break from the mundane today, dug out my jodhpurs and boots and went horseback riding - had a refresher lesson - and boy am I feeling it LOL

Forgot all about certain muscles existence till today, but, am a glutton for punishment - as I am off again next week - Really enjoyed it, took a while , but it soon all came flooding back and got back into the rhythm of it - had the horse collected up properly and got him going well, brilliant instructress too. love horse riding, and that feeling when you have got it right, - its so cool - you can feel the horse collected up under you, feel his pace, and you work and move together - as one - real buzz when its right. , and since having had the children, seem to have a better "seat" too, don't know if pregnancy etc helps re tendons and things in the hip area but well, how i sit seems to have improved despite not riding for a long time, but my muscles - you know the ones LOL - ouch LOL talk about John flipping Wayne - [image]

Still it beats the hell out of housework anytime that's for sure - but not quite as good as seeing Michael in SOM - ;) though - watching him in "Riders" is a good combination of "My Favourite Things " :D
