NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!!!
The TENTH ANNUAL Whatsonstage.com Awards start here...
Can you believe it’s been a decade since the start of the only major theatre awards voted for by you? The nominations phase in the TENTH ANNUAL Whatsonstage.com Awards, the “theatregoers’ choice”, opens today (Monday 2 November 2009). The annual Awards have firmly established their place in the theatrical calendar with a record-breaking 35,000 people voting last year alone.
Throughout November, theatregoers can log on to nominate their favourite performances and productions for Awards consideration across all 26 categories. Amongst these are standards including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best New Play and Best New Musical as well as less conventional fields such as Best Ensemble Performance, Best Off-West End Production and Theatre Event of the Year. This year for the first time there’s also a new category for Best West End Show, which applies to all current West End productions, including long-running blockbusters.
The full 2010 Awards shortlists will be announced on Friday 4 December 2009 at a lunchtime ceremony at Cafe de Paris in the heart of the West End. Guest presenters helping us to announce the nominations are Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’s Broadway stars James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad and Sanaa Lathan and, on behalf of Masterclass, Jeremy Irons. There will also be several live musical performances. (Check online for more details - the full exciting line-up is announced very very soon!)
After the launch party, the race is on to decide the eventual 2010 Whatsonstage.com Award winners, with voting opening on Monday 7 December and continuing until the end of January. Results are announced and awards presented in front of a live audience of theatregoer voters at our Winners’ Concert on Sunday 14 February 2010 at the West End’s Prince of Wales Theatre.
Get nominating MICHAEL PRAED, in 'THE MURDER GAME' 2009, is included in the options available!

Thanks, Jacqui, for pointing it out. I went over, too, to vote for Michael and The Murder Game. Whilst I was at it, I voted for some other people, too. They were all very good! It's a shame that I have to make a decision and cannot mention all of them. Life is just not fair!!!

Hi girls,
A very big thank you, to ALL of you, who voted for Michael, and you're most welcome to any info' that I may find, either on this topic, or any other with regard to Michael Praed. Let's hope, that he gets enough votes to achieve the award.
As to where can you see the votes, I'm not sur eat the moment, but voting can continue until the first week in Decmember, when they will 'shortlist' the Nominations, with the most votes. Then I believe you will be asked to vote again from the 'Shortlist' drawn up.
The best thing, is to try and stay in touch with the, W.O.S Site, although, I will happily keep you upto date with the situation as it progresses.
Warmest hugs to you all,
Jacci.
P.S. Have now sent to, Celeste, the Radio Interview of M.P so I expect she will be posting it, just as soon as she is able.
